Capilano Suspension Bridge
Suspended bridge and cliffwalk over a rainforest canyon in North Vancouver.
What to Expect
The Capilano Suspension Bridge stretches 137 metres across and 70 metres above a rainforest canyon on the North Shore. Originally built in 1889, the bridge is now the centrepiece of a 27-hectare park of cliffwalks, treetop platforms and nature trails.
The Cliffwalk hugs a granite wall above the river, and the Treetops Adventure threads a series of suspended walkways through the canopy. A free shuttle runs from downtown Vancouver to the park entrance.
Best Time to Visit
Year-round; the bridge is magical lit up for Canyon Lights each winter.
