North America's largest ski resort with 200+ runs.
What to Expect
Whistler-Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America, with more than 200 marked runs, 8,100 skiable hectares and a vertical drop of 1,565 metres spread across two mountains. It hosted the alpine events of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Beyond the groomers, the resort offers a glacier, terrain parks, a summer mountain-bike park and backcountry bowls for experts. It's a genuine world-class mountain playground in any season.
Best Time to Visit
December–March for peak powder; the mountain-bike park runs May–October.
Practical Tips
Lift tickets are cheaper bought online in advance. The two base areas — Whistler Village and the Upper Village (Blackcomb) — connect via the Peak 2 Peak gondola.
Where to Stay
Whistler Village places you slopeside with restaurants and shops; the Upper Village offers quieter luxury near the Fairmont.
